Happy News

While browsing through the shops in Shangri-La tonight, I ran into my dear dear friend Andrea and she told me that our mutual friend Sobby graduated med school as a cum laude! To top that off, her boyfriend (actually should I start calling him fiance) graduated as a Magna cum laude. Andrea now calls them Mr. & Mrs. cum laude. He-he. I texted her congratulations and scolded her for not telling me that she finished med school as a cum laude. She told me to study hard and do well.

Yes I will. Andrea was telling me that her friends are now going somewhere and doing really well in their field of choice. Thinking about it tonight, I have to agree. Our group has a lot to be proud of. We might not have the smartest of all, but the percentage of people excelling in our group is pretty high. Plus none of us has done anything that you can say is a career/life-disaster. Soon-to-be-doctors, fantastic entreps, hopefully-soon-to-be-lawyer (ahem!), bankers, MBA grads & engineers. Wow. To think that when we were in HS, all we did was to write stupid letters to people we see/talk/chat with every single day. We would hang out at St. Francis Square at the new Kenny Rogers place. We attended parties on the rooftops, got drunk together, went through several weird hookups and breakups. And after all that, when we see each other after long periods, it's as if we just met the day before. A lot of us have been friends since kindergarden (some even from Nursery - hey Cherry!). Haha we've gone through our Taiwan Study tour and our mini trips!

I'm so proud of our group.

Funny how life goes, huh?

Oh! Two of our friends are getting married too (though not to each other)!

I'm so excited for life to REALLY begin.
