Planning a wedding...
Not mine of course! Ahya & Tintin are now starting to plan their church wedding for 2008. Since I'm the only representative here for our side, I get to be part of the entire planning process. Ooohhh we're so excited because it'll be the first wedding for both families. Although they did have a mini celebration for the civil wedding, I wasn't able to participate because I had an exam that day and another major exam the morning after!!!
Looking at wedding magazines makes me want to have a wedding where I can do whatever I want. (okay, I just want the whole wedding party and not necessarily get married ha! bwhaha). The thing I am most excited is getting my dress made, which won't be for another 6 months or so, but still! Tintin and I have talked about things we will avoid. These are:
1. cruel use of doves
2. cheesy portions like the dance number in romy & michelle
3. no weird color combinations for the dresses (Pleassssssee!!! elegance only!) or cheap-looking beaded dresses
4. string quartets that play the same set of songs
5. stiff or trying-hard-to-be-super-formal-weddings that just look plain duh!
Hopefully the wedding will be....
1. unique
2. fun
3. memorable for everyone attending
4. and the overall theme of simple elegance!
